Chandrani Sinha is an award-winning independent multimedia journalist based in Guwahati, Assam, India, with over a decade of experience reporting on climate change, health, and environmental issues. Her work has been featured in prominent outlets like The Third Pole, Washington Post, and Climate Home.

A 2024 East-West Centre Hawaiian Fellow for Cross-Border Climate Change Reporting, Chandrani has also been recognized as a U.S. State Department IVLP Fellow (2022) for combating misinformation in media. She received the Azadi Project Young Achiever Award (2023) for her impactful work on climate migration and is a 2023 Medicines Sans Frontiers Fellow for her focus on neglected tropical diseases.

Her investigative reporting includes uncovering the effects of Assam’s NRC on climate victims, earning her a finalist spot for the Asia Centre-Oxfam Award. Chandrani’s story “Laments of Brahmaputra” won the 2022 Covering Climate Now Global Journalism Award, showcasing the emotional toll of climate change.
